Its highly likely you have bought it for a recipie used it one time & its in the back of the cupboard somewhere!
Its a gentle agent with lots of friendly uses
- For mild indigestion use from a 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon mixed in a glass of water just sip after a few burps your stomach should settle fairly quickly note: many indigestion remedies contain this
- As a teeth whitener, after brushing with your regular toothpaste, make a small paste with water and brush your teeth again.
- use to clean your tile grout, make a paste of approx 2 parts B. soda to 1 part vinegar - I use white vinegar which I keep in a spray bottle & an old tootbrush.
- Sprinkle it over your plug holes/drains it will dissolve all grease and grime. Do this regularly Keep them clear - blocked pipes & ubends over a long time may mean calling out a plumber! We're saving money remember....
- Deodorize your bins - just sprinkle the powder in
- Speaking of deodorizing, you can sprinkle a little in trainers overnight. Shake the powder out when you need to wear them of course.
Ok so that's 6 uses for bicarbonate of soda. Even if its out of date there's no need to ever throw it away again....
